Sub-shrub of the Lamiaceae family, this cultivar of Thymus serpyllum forms a bushy and dense tuft, slightly domed, 5 to 10 cm in height, with medium green foliage borne on stems that photos reveal tinged with red-brown at the time of flowering.

The flowers are a bright and vivid rose-magenta to rose-purple, among the most intense shades offered by cultivars of this group. Each small bilabiate corolla presents a lighter throat, creating a slight contrast effect visible up close. The numerous and dense flower heads cover the tuft very uniformly at the height of flowering, in June-July.

The vigor of this form is notable, the tuft quickly gaining volume while remaining well-structured. In its natural habitat, the species blooms from June to August. In cultivation, this cultivar generally blooms in June-July.

It requires well-drained soil, poor to moderately fertile, in full sun. A light pruning after flowering maintains a compact habit and delays the thinning of the stems.
