Sempervivum sp1 -DA-

Perennial succulent of the Crassulaceae family. This plant, acquired without a precise name, cannot be linked to a species or cultivar identified with certainty. The vast majority of houseleeks sold in commercial circuits are selected hybrids, often resulting from complex crosses, marketed without rigorous labeling.

The rosettes are medium to fairly large in size, composed of broad, oval-mucronate leaves, with a slightly grainy or finely pubescent surface, densely ciliated on the margins. The coloration is a mix of olive green and reddish-brown pink, more intense on the upper surface of the outer leaves and gradually more greenish-gray towards the heart of the rosette, whose tight center presents pale pink hues. This gradation from the light heart to the colored periphery gives the rosettes a particularly structured and ornamental appearance.

The clump develops through short stolons, producing daughter rosettes well grouped around the mother rosette.

Classic cultivation for the genus, preferably in full sun, very well-drained substrate, poor to moderate. Hardy. Suitable for rock gardens, walls, and shallow containers.
